Mike Dooley

Mike DooleyHave you seen ‘The Secret’?  If you have, you probably fall into one of two camps about it.  You love it. Or you hate it.

Me, I’m pretty much in the Hate it bunch. It wasn’t so much the basic message – take responsibility for creating your world – as it was all the mumbo-jumbo around it and the focus on how to Get More Stuff.

Mike Dooley was in ‘The Secret’ and he was one of the redeeming features.  Mike is the man behind TUT.com, the author of Notes from the Universe – quite possibility the best email pick-me-up in the world – and also the author of a brand new book, Infinite Possibilities.

I asked Mike if I could interview him because he brings to his writing and speaking a fantastic mixture of wisdom, lightness and a deep hunger for adventure. The ability to frame life as both deeply serious and not so serious all at once is rare and wonderful.

In this interview, we explore:

  • Mike’s journey from accountant to t-shirt impresario to speaker and writer
  • His mantra – “Thoughts become things, so have good ones.”
  • The importance of using stepping stones to get closer to your dream
  • Why you need to sit back and enjoy the ride
  • And a simple but powerful framework that can set you up to do more Great Work

Listen to my interview with Mike Dooley

And check out Mike’s new book Infinite Possibilities, a book I can enthusiastically recommend.
