Michael Neill does good newsletter. Last week I showcased my conversation with Mike Dooley, who writes a fantastic daily email. But Michael Neill’s newsletter is the model I based my own on – practical, wise and personal.
Michael’s put out three terrific books in the last three or four years, starting with You Can Have What You Want, then Feel Happy Now and most recently Supercoach. They’re like his newsletters – deeply practical and drawing on diverse wisdom to offer up ways to live a deeper, richer life.
Now, his tag line isĀ “advisor to movie stars, music moguls, business leaders and royals.” I’m sure that’s true, but I really like what he brings to the greater pool of humanity, be it through his Genius Cafe, his radio show or his books.
In this conversation we kick around topics such as:
- Why busy is highly overrated – and what to do about it
- What marshmallows can tell you about creating a meaningful life
- How to hear past the noise that confuses us to what we really want
- And how you can save money by hiring a lamppost instead of a coach. (Well, it’s a little more complicated than that.)

The interviews are all between 25 and 30 minutes long.
You can either download them here as mp3s, or go to iTunes, type in “Great Work Interviews” and you’ll see them all there.
